As Skillshare’s Program Manager for Teacher Success, you’ll drive meaningful impact by ensuring the long-term happiness and success of our most valuable teachers on the platform. You’ll achieve this by leading the day-to-day operations, program and account management, and iterating for growth and improvement, in our successful Top Teachers program.

Top Teachers is their most established Teacher Success program, and is designed to celebrate, support, and retain their highest-performing, top-quality teachers on the open platform (or in the teaching “community” as we call it). As the leader of this program, you will work 1-on-1 and at-scale with the ~150 Top Teacher members, empowering their long-term success, brand loyalty, and advocating for them within the company. You’ll also be responsible for day-to-day program and community management.

They’ll look to your personal touch in account management, project management skills, natural communication ability, and meticulous eye for detail to ensure our most-valued teachers are engaged and supported, their program is running smoothly, and they’re consistently publishing high-quality content from this important cohort of teachers. This position is perfect for a creative community-builder who loves bringing people together externally and internally, developing new and innovative experiences, and building systems to last.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage 1:1 relationships with all Top Teachers by providing as-needed content coaching via email, Zoom, and Slack to drive consistent class development and ongoing improvements in teaching quality
  • Represent the Top Teachers within the company, advocating on their behalf and recommending Top Teachers for strategic, cross-functional initiatives
  • Plan and implement programming that encourages repeat, quality teaching aligned with Skillshare’s content strategy (e.g. quarterly zooms, publishing challenges), strengthens community (e.g. weekly Slack chats, annual summit) and builds brand loyalty (e.g. giveaways, perks)
  • Maintain and improve program records and documentation
  • Track and report out on Top Teacher metrics in cross-functional settings
  • Iterate on and improve ongoing program operations, in collaboration with the Teacher Success team

Why we’re excited about you:

  • You have exceptional analytical & operational skills – you’re able to own day-to-day program operations and streamline processes with acute attention to detail, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
  • Your interpersonal skills shine through your ability to communicate clearly with a team and with teachers on different levels, while being an ambassador of Skillshare’s culture and values
  • You can jump flexibly into a wide range of tasks with ease, confidence, and positivity
  • You have previous experience in an in-house, customer or partner-facing role and/or in community & program management
  • You’re comfortable with a range of tools for tracking metrics, information, and communicating with teachers such as GSuite, Excel, Salesforce, Blueshift, Airtable

Why you’re excited about us:

  • Impact: Your work with Top Teachers will shape how we acquire high-quality content and nurture valuable teachers across the platform at scale, which has a direct impact on our community as well as our business.
  • Growth: You’ll have the opportunity to wear a lot of hats and take on more responsibility over time.
  • Our team: We have a passionate, talented team that is a lot of fun to work with.
  • Our mission: We’re doing work that matters – connecting lifelong learners around the world and empowering them to pursue their creativity.
  • Flexibility: We believe that doing your best work means living a full life. That means different things for everyone, so we optimize for trust, invest to support remote teams, have an unlimited vacation policy (with a required minimum!), and encourage work-life balance.
